Job Summary
Contract Windows Systems Engineer responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s server infrastructure and cloud environments. Hybrid work arrangement in Cleveland, OH. Responsibilities include Windows Server administration, AD, DNS/DHCP, MECM/SCCM and Intune management, Azure and Office 365 support, server patching, imaging, documentation, on-call support, and contributing to infrastructure improvements. Requires 5+ years of Windows server experience, strong knowledge of Windows Server 2003–current, Azure, MECM/SCCM, Intune, VMware, and related networking, with ability to troubleshoot complex issues and work independently. Note: US Citizenship is required for this role.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent hands-on technical experience may substitute for formal education
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Windows server environment
- Experience supporting server infrastructure and/or cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of: Windows Server (2003 – current), Windows 10, Microsoft Office / Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, IIS, FTP, Spam filtering, MECM (SCCM) and Intune, VMware, Lotus Notes
- Practical knowledge of Ethernet and WAN technologies
- Experience with automation of tasks and processes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, end users, and leadership
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
