Job Summary
Windows Systems Analyst responsible for supporting and enhancing Sun Life's Windows-based IT infrastructure. Lead and implement routine and complex fixes on Windows Servers, serve as escalation point for technical teams, document changes, and validate results. Collaborate with infrastructure groups to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain stability, availability, and performance of Wintel environments. Act as a lead technical consultant to configure and optimize server performance, participate in on-call rotations, and adapt to changing priorities. Requires strong communication, change-management discipline, and experience with Windows Server ecosystems and related tools. Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance is a conditional requirement. The role is hybrid, offering both office and virtual work options.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant IT experience
- Computer Science degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with MS Windows 2022 and 2025 Operating Systems
- Experience with SCCM, PowerShell, and security patching and vulnerability remediation
- Experience with ESX VMWare, VROps, Cloud Computing, MS HyperV
- Familiarity with Data Centre environments, cabling, racking of servers
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage incidents and changes
