Job Summary
The candidate will focus on VDI and Windows 11 products (virtual applications/desktops) with an on-prem focus, primarily on BAU tasks such as deploying new Citrix and Windows versions, upgrades, and maintaining Windows environments/VDI across 80,000 machines globally (70%), plus 30% dedicated to engineering sustainable/configurable solutions following escalations. Required: extensive Windows, VDI, Citrix/RDS, virtualization, PowerShell scripting, and enterprise experience to design, deploy, and support infrastructure solutions across the Windows desktop/OS stack.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of systems engineer experience with Windows and VDI
- Experience in engineering, managing, and supporting environments involving VDI (Citrix, RDS)
- In-depth knowledge of Windows OS internals and group policy
- Experience in engineering, managing, and supporting Virtualization Platforms (VMWare ESX, RedHat OCP)
- Experience with PowerShell as their primary scripting technology
- Previous enterprise-level experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
