Job Summary
Windows System Administrator to sustain and improve the organization’s Windows infrastructure as part of a collaborative systems team. This role spans operations, security, and integration of hardware and software; responsibilities include researching and resolving OS problems, troubleshooting with cross-functional teams, building and hardening Windows servers, planning and installing updates, applying security patches, integrating new hardware/software, managing OS lifecycle, designing interfaces to external systems, and maintaining thorough documentation on system configurations and processes. Required skills include AD/LDAP/Centrify, patch management, PowerShell/VB scripting, Windows Server 2008-2016, SCOM, ACS, Exchange/Outlook, and antivirus solutions (Symantec, McAfee); familiarity with LAN/SAN/TCP/IP and Cisco network configurations is a plus, along with MCSE/MCITP certifications and VMware/VCP credentials.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience with Windows systems
- Experience with complex system architectures and interconnected data environments
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, LDAP, and Centrify for domain management
- Experience and proficiency applying security patches within enterprise systems
- Experience scripting in PowerShell, VB, or similar tools
- Experience and ability to manage environments running Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and Access Control Service (ACS)
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and antivirus solutions including Symantec and McAfee
- Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Preferred Qualifications: MCSE or MCITP certifications
- Experience with VMware 5+ and a VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) credential
