Windows M365 Systems Engineer

Job Summary
Support Microsoft 365 environments with a focus on governance, design, and architecture by acting as a Cloud Subject Matter Expert for Email Services, Office Applications, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive. Review existing M365 processes to identify and resolve gaps or errors while working with Azure AD and on-Prem Active Directory systems. Manage Microsoft 365 security and compliance policies, including anti-phishing, anti-malware, and email tracing, and communicate operational status and progress to customers. Assist federal stakeholders in strategic technical planning, project management, and risk management. This role requires a standard eight-hour day within a 7:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday schedule, with limited on-call availability for evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8 year's of work experience or 12 years total work experience
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft 365 services: Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Multi-factor Authentication, and Single Sign On
- 5 Years of experience with Active Directory and related services including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and DFS
- 5 Years of experience deploying and administering Windows Server operating systems, including, Windows 2019/2016/2012R2 and SQL 2016
- 3 Years of experience with Microsoft's System Center (SC) Configuration Manager, Operations Manager
- 2 years of experience implementing M365 DLP, Cloud App Security, Defender, and Conditional Access
- You may be requested on a limited basis to work off-hours to include evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends, however, you will generally work a standard eight (8) hour day within a 7:00am-5:00pm coverage period on a Monday through Friday schedule
Desired Qualifications
- 8 years of experience with Microsoft 365 services: Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Multi-factor Authentication, and Single Sign On
- 8 Years of experience with Active Directory and related services including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and DFS
- 8 years of experience deploying and administering Windows Server operating systems, including, Windows 2019/2016/2012R2 and SQL 2016
- 5 Years of experience with Microsoft's System Center (SC) Configuration Manager, Operations Manager
- 2 years of experience implementing M365 DLP, Cloud App Security, Defender, and Conditional Access
- At least 3 years of experience in cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure/M365, or Amazon Web Services (AWS), or other public cloud services
- AWS, Azure or M365 certifications
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 services: Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Multi-factor Authentication, and Single Sign On
- Understanding of Message Retention and Data Compliance Requirements
- Proficiency in all technical aspects of M365 implementation and Azure Active Directory (AAD) services required
- A full understanding of the Microsoft 365 and Collaboration technology stack (Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
