Job Summary
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and printers while resolving helpdesk tickets and providing user training. Create, maintain, and deploy Windows 11 "gold" images across the base, configure Microsoft Office 365, and implement security hardening and vulnerability patching per STIGs and DoD policies. Ensure cybersecurity compliance for Air Force IT networks and collaborate with the Information System Security Manager. Maintain operational availability outside standard hours to remediate critical issues. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, security clearance, and ability to obtain and maintain access to the AEDC local area network.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT-related field
- 1 year of progressively relevant experience
- 2 years of progressively relevant experience
- 4+ years of IT-related experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance and access to the AEDC local area network
- Current US Citizenship
- Active CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA A+ certifications
- Proven experience in desktop hardware/software setup, client/server patch management, and administration of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and MS Visio
- Demonstrated practical experience creating, managing, and deploying Windows client 'gold' images
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot technical issues and manage multiple competing priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A 'can-do' attitude with a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with peers, customers, and personnel at all organizational levels
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance and access to the AEDC local area network
