Job Summary
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments while ensuring system reliability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization. Maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime, execute patch management, and administer virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and cloud services including Azure AD and Microsoft 365. Collaborate with local and global IT teams to support integrated solutions, follow standard operating procedures, and recommend infrastructure enhancements. Adhere to organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements specific to the banking and investment banking domain. Provide input on hardware and software needs for budget planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor and/or Master's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science Technology and management
- 10 years relevant experience
- Proficiency in Active Directory administration, including domain controllers, user accounts, group policies, and security settings
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy management
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) and IT security practices
- Hands-on experience with virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware, SimpliVity, or Citrix)
- Experience administering email and messaging systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Exchange)
- Solid understanding of IT security principles, including patch management, access controls, and vulnerability remediation
- Experienced in migrating applications from one OS to another. Ex: windows 2016-2022
- Strong ability to troubleshoot complex problems between multiple applications
- Experience in IT service delivery in a global, multicultural environment
- 7+ years of experience in Windows system administration
- Knowledge of the banking domain and more specifically, investment banking
