Job Summary
Winder Operator C needed to follow quality guidelines in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include verifying product quality for packing, assisting the extrusion operator, starting up equipment, chill roll cleaning, thread up, screen changes, adjusting cores and blades, die cleaning, trimming, wrapping up removal of idle rollers, packing finished goods to procedure, handling scrap through boxing, weighing, and accounting. Requires regular attendance, ability to work outside regular hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing up to 12 hours on a rotating 12-hour schedule, and wearing PPE such as steel-toe shoes. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Packer experience preferred
- Operator experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to verify quality, pack finished goods, assist extrusion operator, start up
- Willing to work outside regular schedule and accommodate non-standard hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for up to 12 hours, rotate 12-hr shifts
- Must wear steel toe shoes and PPE
