Job Summary
Dismantling, rewinding, rebuilding and testing AC and DC motors, including traction motors; strip, clean and prepare stators and armatures for rewinding; manufacture and fit coils to original design (random wound and formed coils); dip, bake and varnish windings using dip tanks or VPI where required; carry out static electrical tests and record results; basic mechanical fitting on pumps and gearboxes. Time-served Winder, Fitter or Electrical Machine Repair background with solid experience stripping, rewinding, assembling and testing AC/DC motors. Read drawings, follow procedures, and work methodically in a mechanical/electrical workshop; formal qualifications help, hands-on experience matters more.
