Job Summary
Winder - 3rd Shift: Heavy coil winding and assembly for transformer components. Responsibilities include setting up, winding, and finishing coils (Medium/Large/Extra High Voltage), handling various winding types (disc, single/multi-wire), braze joinery, bending and manipulating copper conductors, operating horizontal and vertical winding machines, loading cylinders to mandrels, and ensuring adherence to printed drawings, BOMs, and winding sheets. Perform inspections, minor repairs, and tool/equipment maintenance, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with Supervisors, team members, and engineering/QA functions. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and the ability to work a 3rd shift in a large-scale manufacturing environment. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; prior coil winding or power equipment experience preferred. Location: Waukesha, WI, USA with on-site work expectations.
