Job Summary
Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on wind turbines and Balance of Plant equipment. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and PLC components using SCADA systems and diagnostic tools. Diagnose equipment issues, complete maintenance documentation in CMMS, and assist with medium- and high-voltage switching activities. Operate company vehicles and specialized equipment safely while following all HSSE policies. Participate in rotating on-call coverage and emergency response activities, traveling between Hawaii wind facilities as needed. Higher levels may lead major component replacements, monitor contractors, and mentor less experienced technicians.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to climb wind turbines of approximately 90 meters
- Ability to work at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to utilize computerized maintenance management systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain required safety certifications, including GWO and TerraForm Power training requirements
