Job Summary
Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and associated equipment at the Rock Creek Energy Center. Climb towers daily to inspect, maintain, or repair components while troubleshooting faults and replacing parts. Maintain company tooling, facilities, and a clean safe work environment. Work a 40-hour week subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime during peak maintenance periods. Must work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One (1) year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
- Ability to climb ladders without assistance
- Ability to work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet)
- Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds)
- Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather
- Must be able to climb ladders without assistance
- Must be able to work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet)
- Must be able to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds)
- Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks
