Job Summary
Wind Technician II responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines and related equipment. Perform regular preventive maintenance and electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting on wind turbine power generation equipment; interpret fault reports, maintain service logs, and monitor turbine performance/SCADA. Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations; participate in Lean Six Sigma processes and projects; recruit and develop other technicians; support site management with safety, environmental, and financial reporting; collaborate with internal teams to implement operation-focused solutions and improve turbine availability. Relay a professional representation of NextEra Energy in the community and with customers. Relocation benefits may be available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 1.5+ years in a technical field, OR completion of a technical certificate/degree program
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
- Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet
- Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval
