Job Summary
Strategic Account Manager, Wind across the Americas focused on managing and growing wind turbine customer relationships, acting as a trusted lubricant advisor for gearbox oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, and related wind turbine lubrication needs. The role involves coordinating internal resources to resolve issues, supporting onboarding and product conversion discussions, maintaining accurate account records and sales pipeline, delivering customer presentations and business reviews, and travel around 50% to support relationships, development, and industry events. The position requires strong account management experience in wind or technical industrial markets, ability to communicate with engineers, operations leaders, procurement, and senior decision makers, and a customer-service orientation with emphasis on reliability and uptime. It is a customer-facing role that collaborates with leadership, technical support, marketing, product development, and supply chain to meet customer needs and grow the Wind business across the Americas.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer relationship and account management experience
- Wind industry experience or strong experience selling into technical industrial markets
- Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to customers, not just a product salesperson
- Strong understanding of customer service, reliability, uptime, procurement needs, and field support expectations in the wind industry
- Ability to communicate with field technicians, operations managers, procurement teams, engineers, sales teams, and senior level decision makers
- Technical curiosity and willingness to learn wind turbine lubricant applications, including gearboxes, hydraulics, greases, pitch and yaw systems, and main bearing applications
- Ability to manage multiple customers, opportunities, priorities, and internal follow up items
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work cross functionally with sales leadership, technical support, customer service, product development, marketing, operations, and supply chain
- Comfortable presenting customer updates, product information, account plans, and business opportunities
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
- Ability to obtain and maintain required safety certifications, including wind turbine climb certification when required
- Ability to represent AMSOIL Industrial professionally with wind industry customers and business partners
