Will & Estate Consultant

As a Will & Estate Consultant within RBC's Wealth Management Services, you will work with Investment Advisors to provide consulting services to clients, in coordination with tax and legal professionals. You will conduct client interview sessions and prepare comprehensive summary letters, participate in client/prospect seminars, and build relationships with estate planning professionals both internal and external. Stay current on relevant legislation, policy and risk management issues; proactively identify new business and referral opportunities; foster collaboration across RBC to ensure seamless client service; maintain thorough activity records; coordinate actions arising from interviews with internal and external consultants; stay aligned with the unit's strategy and client offerings. Required qualifications include a Canadian Law Degree and bar/notary admission in Canada, a minimum of 5 years’ experience with estate planning, wills, trusts, and related tax rules, knowledge of insurance planning tools, and strong knowledge of common law related to estates and trusts. Nice-to-have items include estate and trust experience, cross-border estate planning knowledge, STEP membership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
