Job Summary
Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and report equipment issues. Safely and legally transport materials between vendors and warehouses, including picking up, checking, labeling, and securing cargo. Deliver materials to the Kent Distribution Center or stores as instructed while communicating with vendors, drivers, and warehouse staff. Maintain accurate paperwork and comply with state, federal, and company safety regulations. Requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Shift runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with an hourly pay range of $21.00 to $24.00.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience
- Clean driving record
- Comply with state, federal, and company safety regulations
- Reliable attendance and performance
- Self-Starter; Independent
- Excellent Organizational Skills and Time Management Skills
- Master the standard paperwork procedures
- Understand truck schedules and routes
- Valid Driver's License
- Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must possess the ability to reach with hands and arms
- Must possess the ability to move among and between job sites
- Must possess the ability to sit, stoop, kneel and crouch
- Must possess the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis
- Must see well enough to discern differences in quality of product
- Ability to drive for long periods throughout the day
- Requires travel to local vendors/warehouses
