Job Summary
The Wildlife Program Manager at the Wisconsin Humane Society leads a team of wildlife rehabilitators, interns, and volunteers in caring for thousands of injured and orphaned wild animals annually. Responsibilities include managing staff development, establishing rehabilitation protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing budget management, and partnering with community stakeholders. Candidates should hold or be able to obtain a State of Wisconsin Advanced License in Wildlife Rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated team management experience
- A State of Wisconsin Advanced License in Wildlife Rehabilitation is strongly preferred; ability to get licensed in an agreed upon timeline required
- Ability to partner with clients, staff, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds

- Ability to navigate emotional aspects of animal welfare work
- Able to successfully meet the physical demands of the job, which include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions. Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
