Job Summary
Wildlife Grant Administrator — Responsible for the overall administration of grants and contracts for the office, ensuring accountability and fiscal compliance with Yakama Nation policies. Communicates with award agencies on scopes of work, budgets, narrative and financial reports; assists staff in preparing grant applications; maintains documentation and adheres to record-keeping standards; collaborates with Grants & Contracts, Central Accounting and Finance; ensures expenditures comply with grant/contract requirements; reviews reports for accuracy and completeness; prepares quarterly and annual budget reports; maintains program documents; attends meetings to stay informed on regulations; demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines; requires knowledge of GAAP and Yakama Nation policies, and has a preference for a Bachelor's degree in business or accounting. The role may require passing pre-employment background checks, a drug test, and holding a valid WA driver’s license with Yakama Nation permits. Enrolled Yakama Preference applies.
Required Qualifications
- Familiar with working on grants from federal, state, and local entities
- A combination of education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the position may substitute for educational background
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Yakama Nation Driving permit
- Required to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Enrolled Yakama Preference, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply
