Job Summary
Wide Format Service Technician to support customers nationwide, primarily traveling within the Central and Eastern U.S. This home-based role involves approx. 50% travel to customer sites for installation, service, training, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance of production print equipment. Responsibilities include phone and onsite technical support, diagnostics, repairs, software upgrades, machine modifications/retrofits, installations/deinstallations/ relocations, operator training, ensuring site readiness, color management guidance, and knowledge development in Onyx RIP workflows. Travel remote support is combined with independent work from a home office; opportunity to assist sales teams with equipment upgrade evaluations and maintain service records. Proficiency in Onyx software, RIP workflows, Canon equipment, Windows OS, and strong customer service skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- 2-6 years minimum of relevant field service experience
- Experience servicing and repairing wide format equipment and related technology
- Experience with Canon wide format print equipment strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows preferred
- Strong computer and networking knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and related applications
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently from a home office environment
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, primarily throughout the Central and Eastern United States
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
