Job Summary
Wide Format Service Technician (Traveling) responsible for providing phone and onsite technical support, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, installations, relocations, and customer operator training for production print equipment. Role involves approximately 50% travel across the Central and Eastern U.S., home-based work, and ongoing validation of equipment performance, color management, RIP workflows, and Onyx software knowledge to support customer production environments. Must exhibit excellent customer service, independent work habits, and ability to coordinate installations and service calls.
Required Qualifications
- 2-6 years minimum of relevant field service experience
- Experience servicing and repairing wide format equipment and related technology
- Experience with Canon wide format print equipment strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows preferred
- Strong computer and networking knowledge
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and related applications
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently from a home office environment
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, primarily throughout the Central and Eastern United States
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
