Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner needed in Wichita, KS to provide face-to-face psychiatric services in Skilled Nursing Facilities, assess the patient’s mental status, diagnose DSM-V disorders, and develop treatment plans. Practice includes psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments, with case staffing alongside psychiatrists. Requirements include active Kansas nursing license with a psychiatry focus and Kansas Pharmacy Board DEA eligibility, plus 1 year of geriatric psych experience and 1 year in SNF or Acute Rehab settings. Spanish language is a plus. Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Kansas by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
- Licensed by the Kansas Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
- 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
