Job Summary
Overseeing and coordinating WIC activities across clinic sites, the WIC Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, developing operational plans and policies, and evaluating services. The supervisor formulates nutrition education plans, manages budget proposals, oversees staff and recruitment, and ensures staff training in WIC protocols. Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, be registered dietitians or licensed nurses, and have a minimum of one year experience in a public health or hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university with major studies in foods and human nutrition or nursing required
- Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, a Registered Nurse (BSN or RN) licensed to practice in the State of Colorado, or a Medical Doctor (MD)
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a public health setting or one year in a hospital setting
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science (MS) or Master of Public Health (MPH) degree strongly preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
