Job Summary

Perform nutrition assessments for WIC participants, perinatal patients, and other Thundermist patients, developing individualized nutrition plans to promote compliance and improve health outcomes. Provide approximately 32 hours per week of direct nutrition counseling while supervising WIC staff, including training, scheduling, and performance oversight. Coordinate nutrition services and referrals with Woonsocket community agencies and maintain an active liaison relationship between the state WIC agency, Thundermist staff, and participants. Dedicate approximately 8 hours per week to administrative responsibilities, including conducting quality assurance reviews of WIC charts and troubleshooting program technology issues. Manage patient flow through the WIC clinic to ensure efficient and positive experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered dietitian
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nutrition Dietetics program
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Blood handling training (OSHA, hematological and anthropometric measures)
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with proficiency in applicable medical terminology
