Job Summary
Answer telephones, schedule appointments, and manage client flow while screening participants for eligibility. Verify identity, income, and residency to process (re)certification, educate clients on rights and benefits, and refer them to MassHealth, SNAP, and other programs. Issue food prescriptions, capture authorized signatures, and maintain security of WIC cards. Perform routine data entry and quality assurance activities. Attend bi-weekly staff meetings and trainings. Available to work at least one Saturday a month. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Must have a suitable CORI & SORI completed within the first 30 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- one year of general office experience
- Proficient computer skills
- Well-organized, systematic approach to work
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Sensitivity to the needs of the client population
- Available to work at least one Saturday a month
- Must have a suitable CORI & SORI completed within the first 30 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- experience in a health care or community facility
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
