Job Summary

Conduct WIC client certifications by assessing nutritional needs and evaluating anthropometric and biochemical data. Develop individualized healthy food plans that consider social, economic, cultural, and other factors, and connect clients with appropriate community, clinical, and health resources. Provide nutrition counseling to high-risk clients and coordinate nutrition care based on the needs identified by the client, family, and healthcare team. Maintain current knowledge of nutrition practices and advancements by participating in training and staying informed of federal, state, and local WIC policies. Record, collect, and compile program data to measure outcomes and evaluate program effectiveness. Provide nutrition education and counseling to individuals, families, and groups in both clinic and community settings, including outreach activities. Occasionally travel to other WIC locations to provide coverage. Full-time position with first review of applications on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Nutrition, Dietetics, or relevant field
  • Licensure as a Registered Dietitian
  • Licensure as a Dietician in the State of Kansas
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Food Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, Clinical Nutrition, or relevant field
  • One (1) year of experience as a dietitian
  • Spanish speaking
