Job Summary
Check clients in, complete height, weight, and hemoglobin measurements, and issue EBT cards for the WIC program. Schedule appointments, determine income and residential eligibility, and interpret federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain inventory, coordinate EBT card replenishment, and refer participants to community agencies. Lead classes under the Nutritionist's direction, staff Farmer's Market events, and distribute vouchers. Promote breastfeeding and participate in community education, H.O.P.E. events, and public health emergency preparedness exercises. Maintain confidentiality under HIPAA and NIMS/ICS training requirements. Work in a fast-paced clinic setting with travel between locations.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school, GED or equivalence
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Access to personal transportation
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months- 1 year of clerical experience in health care setting with public contact
