Job Summary
SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER / COUNSELOR provides comprehensive school social services to parents, students, and staff, addressing barriers that limit a student’s educational experience. Responsibilities include advising individuals or groups to improve communication and self-awareness, assisting students with affective and academic problems, coordinating with other staff, serving as a liaison with community agencies, maintaining confidential student records, attending IEP meetings, developing workshops, providing crisis intervention and transitional planning, coordinating programs for behavioral issues, and performing referrals and case management as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work
- Proof of working towards / or valid certificate as School Social Worker
- Exempt, Certified (employee classification)
