Job Summary
WHS & Injury Management Coordinator at Huon Regional Care (Tasmania) focusing on developing and implementing WHS systems, injury management, and compliance. Role encompasses policy development, risk management, return-to-work planning, incident investigations, training coordination, and regular reporting to People & Culture and executives. Requires a minimum Certificate IV in WHS and at least 2 years' experience in WHS/injury management, with strong stakeholder engagement and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed-term until 30 June 2027, based in Franklin with hybrid remote option. Working with Vulnerable People and National Police Checks are part of the requirements, along with vaccinations per Aged Care standards.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in WHS and injury management roles
- Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies
- Proven ability to manage workers compensation claims and develop return-to-work plans
- Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and regulations, including injury management practices and risk assessments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and build effective relationships across all levels of an organization
- High-level organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) for reporting and documentation
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of safety and well-being, with a proactive approach to risk management and compliance
