Job Summary
Regulatory Risk Manager for BBVA Brazil responsible for governance, implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of the bank’s prudential and regulatory risk management framework to ensure compliance with BACEN requirements. Key duties include designing and overseeing regulatory risk processes, preparing regulatory reports (CADOCs 3040, 3044, 3050, 2030; DDR; DRM; DRL), maintaining the Risk Appetite Statement, monitoring risk metrics and limits, coordinating with Internal Audit and BACEN during inspections, and supporting regulatory change initiatives. Requires 7–10 years of experience in risk management/regulatory compliance, deep knowledge of Brazilian banking regulation, experience with BACEN systems, ability to work cross-functionally, and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Must be fluent in Portuguese and English, with Excel and data-automation tool experience (Python, VBA, SQL). The role is based in São Paulo, Brazil, and emphasizes governance, reporting, and regulatory engagement within Wholesale Banking.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in risk management and regulatory compliance within the Brazilian Financial System
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian banking regulation and prudential governance frameworks
- Experience with BACEN systems
- Experience within financial services and wholesale banking
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation capabilities
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data analysis or automation tools such as Python, VBA, SQL, or related technologies
- Mandatory fluency in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus
