Job Summary
Payment Optimization Manager responsible for TomoCredit's payment ecosystem (card issuers, payment gateways, and banks). Improve authorization rate and reduce payment failures; communicate with banking partners; manage issues like chargebacks, disputes, and escalations; partner with product/engineering to implement payment-system improvements; design real-time reports with Looker Studio and BigQuery; drive reconciliation metrics and payment operations KPIs; identify and implement scalable process improvements in a remote-first fintech environment; requires 4+ years in product/operations with 3+ years in payments, strong SQL, Excel/Sheets skills, and solid accounting knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of product or operation experience in a fast-paced company
- at least 3+ years in payment operations, processing, or digital banking
- Deep technical knowledge of payment systems, money movement, card issuing, and settlement processes
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fintech environment
- High proficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex queries, joins, and optimizations (Google BigQuery preferred)
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of resolving complex transaction issues
- Expert in Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable building financial models and reconciliations from scratch
- Working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, especially around reconciliation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and documentation
