Whitewater Waiver Coordinator

Job Summary

Organize all waivers into a structured system for daily distribution and oversee check-in, departure, and verification for whitewater guests. Welcome customers onsite, resolve concerns promptly, and distribute program information while answering questions regarding scheduled activities. File trip reports with West Virginia DNR and write an end-of-season report detailing operational improvements. Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area while modeling the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions. Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership and abide by staff handbook policies. Work 45–55 hours daily, standing, walking, hiking up to three hours, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 18+
  • Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, software navigation)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
  • Ability to stand, walk, and hike and up to 3 hours daily
  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds
  • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
