Job Summary

Manage daily interline settlement activities, including ISS, RCH, and related Railinc processes, while reviewing and resolving exceptions, disputes, and billing issues. Maintain compliance with AAR Railway Accounting Rules, execute SOX controls, and support internal and external audits. Serve as the business lead for settlement functionality within the Wabtec RailConnect suite and Advanced Analytics, developing reporting to monitor variances and communicate revenue impacts. Administer fuel surcharge calculations and support demurrage and accessorial billing. This full-time exempt role requires a Bachelor's degree and five years of railroad accounting experience. Occasional after-hours support is needed for system implementations or operational issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Five or more years of railroad accounting experience
  • Experience in revenue accounting
  • Experience in rating
  • Experience in interline settlement
  • Knowledge of AAR Railway Accounting Rules
  • Knowledge of Railinc settlement systems
  • Experience with ISS
  • Experience with REN
  • Experience with SSDX
  • Experience with RCH
  • Experience performing SOX controls
  • Experience supporting SOX controls
  • Experience in an accounting or finance environment
  • Experience with railroad transportation systems
  • Experience with revenue systems

  • Experience with AS400-based applications
  • Experience with similar platforms
