Job Summary
Oversee daily wheelchair service operations at OGG Airport, supervising a team of leads and attendants while ensuring strict adherence to ADA regulations and safety protocols. Manage efficient scheduling, coordinate with airport authorities and airline staff for seamless service delivery, and oversee maintenance of mobility aids. Train staff on best practices, resolve operational challenges and passenger complaints, and analyze service reports to improve efficiency and response times. Conduct regular performance reviews and manage recruitment, training, and resource allocation for the department.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Proven ability to supervise teams effectively and handle challenging situations
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within customer service or airport operations
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
- Flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms
