Job Summary

Diagnose and repair complex manual and powered wheelchairs and medical equipment in the shop and field, performing minor fittings and adjustments to ensure proper functionality. Maintain stock and rental equipment, manage parts inventory, and service delivery vehicles to keep all assets safe and operational. Keep the shop and warehouse clean and organized while completing accurate documentation and educating customers on equipment care and safety. Obtain quotes, submit reports, and participate in required in-service training to stay updated on industry practices. Work in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 50 lbs and working in inclement weather as needed, with a valid driver's license required for field travel.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of related experience
  • Minimum of two years of relevant mechanical experience
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools for equipment repair
  • Basic knowledge of Word Processing, Email, and Internet
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions to resolve equipment issues
  • Valid State Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to pull/push equipment weighing over 100 lbs
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling
  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Must pass a drug test
