Job Summary
Operate a vehicle safely and responsibly, transporting passengers to and from medical facilities or homes within a designated mileage radius. Navigate local areas using maps or GPS to minimize delays, while performing daily vehicle inspections, completing mechanical checklists, and entering trip sheets. Maintain a clean vehicle, ensure all permits and documentation are current, and provide professional customer service. Handle basic passenger issues and refer complex problems to staff, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulatory standards. Complete required information systems security trainings and participate in assigned projects. The role requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and strong local navigation skills. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST, with pay of $17–$18/hr. Modivcare facilitates non-emergency medical transportation to improve access to care for underserved populations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver's license for the appropriate vehicle type
- Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or accidents
- In-depth knowledge of navigating the local area to utilize the safest and most efficient routes possible
- Excellent driving skills and the ability to handle various road and weather conditions
- Customer-service oriented with excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and schedules
- Physical fitness and stamina for long hours of driving, if applicable
- Zero (0) plus years of experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
