Job Summary
Wheel Repair Technician responsible for operating wheel refinishing equipment, inspecting wheels for quality, removing coatings through a three-part process, welding TIG wheels as needed, heating/straightening with a wheel press, and performing mill work as required. Training provided on hire. Shifts vary (7:00–3:30, 3:00–11:30, 11:00–7:30). Temperature varies by season. Required Qualifications
- Able to lift 30–50 lbs continuously, 60 lbs on occasion
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Operate equipment per instructions
- Thorough wheel inspection & quality control
- Sand/dress cosmetic defects on face/backside of wheel(s)
- Weld necessary wheels - TIG welding (prior experience recommended)
- Heat/straighten wheels using wheel press
- Some mill work required
- Follow company safety policies and housekeeping practices
- PPE: Steel toe footwear with slip guard, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and respirator (footwear provided elsewhere)
