Job Summary
Plan, direct, and control all general warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and distribution for the designated shift. Manage customer and vendor relations while achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics. Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), oversee maintenance and preventive programs for the lift truck fleet, and ensure facility safety and cleanliness. Determine staffing needs based on volume and projects, handle special projects, and manage all aspects of employee relations, performance reviews, and disciplinary issues. Incorporate and manage all safety programs and reporting. Maintain a working knowledge of all operating systems and manage supply vendors and purchasing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-6 years of supervisory experience in distribution or manufacturing environment or comparative schooling plus work
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven success in maintaining quality, service, and client relationships in a high-paced setting
- Experience working in team oriented, multi-shift environment
- Proven competencies in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Flexible to work all hours
- Job stability of no more than 3 jobs in the past 7 years
- Skill in interpersonal communication
- Skill in using a personal computer and associated software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Desired Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree
- Experience with WMS, LEAN/Six Sigma, inventory management, project leadership, and team building
- Clamp-certified
