Job Summary
Develop pricing strategies and recommendations for retail natural gas and electricity products while analyzing market trends, customer segments, and competitor activity. Create visualizations and reports to support commercial decisions and partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Risk Management teams on product offerings and customer growth. Evaluate market opportunities and utility choice programs to identify profitable growth, then lead process automation efforts to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities. Monitor sales performance, market share, and competitive intelligence to drive continuous improvement across the business.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in an analytical role such as Financial Analyst, Sales Finance Analyst, Corporate Finance Analyst, Pricing Analyst, or Business Analyst
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and build models that support business decisions
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and visualization tools
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional critical thinking skills with a logical approach to solving complex business problems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build effective partnerships across teams
- A growth mindset, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback
Desired Qualifications
- Energy industry experience is considered an asset
