Job Summary
Distribute funds to clients in accordance with representative payee plans, prioritizing rent and utilities while maintaining accurate check registers and records. Conduct intake interviews with new clients, complete necessary paperwork, and prepare and distribute checks. Establish working relationships with participants, referring agencies, and financial workers to schedule appointments, track checks, and problem solve payee situations. Contact creditors to set up payment plans and assist clients in procuring energy assistance and community services. Maintain files containing all pertinent information and ensure compliance with state laws, federal regulations, and HIPAA standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must pass background and credit check
- Must not contribute to or create a real or perceived conflict of interest surrounding clients or client accounts
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies and procedures regarding the same
- Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
