Job Summary
Facilitate access for parents to substance use services by maintaining records of openings, ensuring timely admission and placement in family residential treatment, and providing interim counseling with individualized follow-up support. Maintain strong working relationships with providers and DCF regarding program updates, vacancies, and admission issues while representing IHR in state forums. Conduct outreach to raise awareness of the WFRC through community events, provider visits, and online visibility. Collect and update data on vacancies and referrals, use cloud-based systems for communication, and attend team meetings. Ensure all relevant parties are updated on service availability and eligibility based on ASAM criteria.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in human services, or related field
- Understanding of the Massachusetts treatment system and options for all people
- Experience providing interim counseling to pregnant and parenting people including fathers seeking treatment
- Familiarity with substance use and treatment for all levels of care
- Familiarity with child welfare issues, especially as they are affected by substance use disorder
- Strong and clear communicator
- Excellent writing and reporting skills
- The ability to work as a team player
- Reliable Transportation
