Wet Seals CAD Design Engineer

Job Summary
Review Drawing Office requests to establish design requirements and prepare error-free General Arrangement and Manufacturing drawings in Solid Edge. Execute quality self-checks on all deliverables, conduct root cause analysis for corrective actions, and maintain designated records in line with IMS requirements. Process Global Change Notifications and submit monthly performance reports to the Supervisor. Support site technical offices across countries with accurate, timely design support while promoting a "First Time Right" culture and continuous improvements. Adhere to QMS for engineering process compliance and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 1-2 years of relevant experience (in Design office which deals with precision components and assemblies)
- Working Experience in any CAD software preferably Solid Edge (3D and 2D)
- Basic knowledge of Engineering Design and Manufacturing techniques
- Committed to continuous improvement and attitude to learn from own and other's mistakes
- Should be able to plan and prioritize work and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Commitment to work with systematic approach and adhere to company's processes and procedures
- Basic application knowledge of Fits and Tolerances and GD&T symbols in Design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel and across functional lines
- Requires excellent personal computing skills, particularly competent in Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret project requirements and documentation from a wide variety of customers
- Support safe workplace cultures and compliance with Smiths EH&S
- English level: Intermediate Requiered (Advanced Desired)
- Spanish: Advanced
