Job Summary
Develop new or modified InP-based Auto wet etching processes, define etching conditions, and establish equipment requirements for mass-production capacity ramp from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Contribute developed technologies to product manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation while conceiving projects involving new concepts, equipment automation, and improved process approaches. Requires BSc/PhD in electronics or related fields with 2+ years experience, fluent Japanese, and business-level English for documentation and meetings. Lumentum illuminates networks for AI, data centers, and telecom by delivering photonic technologies that enable efficient, massive-scale data movement.
Required Qualifications
- BSc, MSc, PhD degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related equivalent technical field
- Bachelors and 2+ years of work experience
- Masters and 1+ years of work experience
- PhD. no relevant work experiences
- experience in process improvement using Dry etching equipment and wafer process production technology
Desired Qualifications
- Practical experience in lithography, oxide film deposition, sputtering, metal deposition
- On-time mindset
- Fluent Japanese speaker
- business level English skill including managing and discussion in on-line meeting, email communications, and documentation in English
