Job Summary
Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities, focusing on geriatric populations within SNF/long-term care settings. Assess mental status, diagnose DSM-V disorders, and develop treatment plans. Utilize psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments as part of comprehensive care. Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists. Requires valid Colorado licensure as a nurse practitioner with psychiatry focus and DEA registration. Minimum 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience and 1 year of care in Skilled Nursing Facilities or acute rehab hospitals. Spanish language skills are a plus. Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Colorado by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry
- Licensed by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA)
- 1 year of Geriatric Psychiatry experience
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals
