Counselor for grades 7-12 at WVIC, guiding course selection aligned with CTE pathways, monitoring credits and graduation requirements, developing 504 plans with families and staff, attending IEP and transition meetings, assisting students and families with McKinney-Vento and foster care services, coordinating Career Pathways planning and the High School and Beyond Plan, planning the Ram Strong advisory schedule to support student connection and skill development, conducting meetings with students and families requiring academic or social-emotional support, providing individual and small-group social-emotional learning interventions, serving on the MTSS team, fostering a culture of safety, belonging, and innovation, maintaining confidential student records, ensuring documentation of standards mastery and real-world skill development, supporting college, career, and post-secondary planning, collaborating on FAFSA initiatives, translating project-based learning experiences into college/career applications, participating in continuous improvement efforts, collaborating with other counselors on shared initiatives and graduation ceremonies, and benefits include SEBB medical/dental/vision insurance and Washington State retirement and leave programs.
