Job Summary
Conduct pre-operational inspections on cranes and mobile equipment, then operate remote overhead cranes, band saws, Hilti grinders, oxygen lances, SpectroTest/XRF units, and computer systems as required. Ensure accurate material identification by inspecting, identifying, and stenciling customer material according to EQS standards before loading cold shipments into trucks and railcars per Manufacturing Instructions and Operating Procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while complying with all company policies, safety protocols, and work rules in a fast-paced environment. Work independently to support daily shipping and material-handling operations, communicating effectively with the Shipping team as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of shipping experience
- Minimum of 80 hours of crane‐operation experience
- Successful completion of the EQS Crane Training Program
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in remote crane operation
- Theoretical Steelmaking Course (80%+ score)
- Spectrometer Training
