Job Summary
Support the implementation of a comprehensive school-wide behavior plan with emphasis on working with teachers to identify root causes of student misbehavior and develop appropriate staff responses. Work with students to develop coping skills for interactions with peers and staff, and collaborate with parents to support positive behavior at school and home. Lead PBIS at the school level, assist in intervention planning and staff training, and participate as a member of the school leadership team. Responsibilities include providing school/district professional development on intervention strategies, de-escalation, classroom management, data collection, and progress monitoring; collaborating with teachers, counselors, psychologists, and family-resource staff to assess needs and implement interventions; and building partnerships with families and community resources to support students and families.
Required Qualifications
- Administrative and/or Program Consultant Certification
- Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience
- Classroom behavior management expertise
- PBIS Training in Tier 1, 2, and 3 (Preferred)
- Trauma Informed Care training (Preferred)
