Job Summary
Mathematics Teacher for grades 7-12 at West Carrollton High School. Responsibilities include developing and administering a mathematics curriculum aligned with district goals, creating lesson plans and instructional materials, teaching topics such as arithmetic, calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and real/imaginary numbers, promoting critical thinking, designing activities demonstrating math applications to real-life problems, conducting ongoing student assessments and differentiating instruction (including for students with special needs), maintaining accurate records, communicating with students and parents, staying current with district/state standardized tests, coordinating with staff, and procuring instructional resources. Requires state Mathematics Education Teacher certification, transportation to/from school, and a bachelor’s degree in education; a master’s degree is preferred. Also notes potential travel to district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
- State Certification as Mathematics Education Teacher (certification appropriate to state)
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation
- Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Masters degree preferred
