Job Summary
Document patient symptoms in EMR, take and record vital signs, administer injections, perform diagnostic tests, collect specimens, draw blood, sterilize equipment, and maintain examination rooms. You will handle computations and other administrative/operational tasks as assigned by the Center Administrator. This patient-facing role is part of the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program, requiring TB screening upon selection. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 for 40 hours weekly. Successful completion of MA school/training, certification, or 5+ years of experience is required, along with CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medication/vaccine administration experience
- CPR Certified
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
- Must be screened for TB
Desired Qualifications
- Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina you require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
