Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) Per Diem provides high-quality patient care on a per diem basis in the Emergency Department, working under supervision and collaborating with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, assisting with examinations and treatments, analyzing patient data to guide medical decisions and interventions, implementing prescribed treatments to ensure protocol adherence and patient safety, coordinating with interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes, and seeking guidance from senior medical professionals on complex cases. Performs other duties as assigned. Requires an Associate’s degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred) and 1 year of RN experience with 1 year in a clinical specialty; active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state and BLS CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in nursing
- 1 year as Registered Nurse
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
