Job Summary
Support the Fab1 Manufacturing Inline Control Systems Team in modernizing software solutions by containerizing existing applications and migrating Perl and Apache-based applications into Docker containers. Contribute to the conception and development of a GUI-based task and process control system for container applications within a private cloud environment. Assist in managing and automating applications on container orchestration platforms such as HashiCorp Nomad while analyzing current software solutions to derive optimization opportunities. Collaborate with international team members to implement and further develop technical solutions. Work part-time for up to 20 hours during the semester or 40 hours during holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Eingeschriebener Studentin der Informatik, Ingenieurwissenschaften, Mathematik, Physik oder einer vergleichbaren Fachrichtung
- Gute analytische Fähigkeiten sowie eine strukturierte und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
- Interesse an der Entwicklung präziser und zuverlässiger Softwarelösungen
- Freude an der Zusammenarbeit in einem internationalen Umfeld
- Gute Linux-Kenntnisse, insbesondere im Umgang mit Betriebssystemen, Shell-Skripting sowie Aufgabenautomatisierung
- Erste praktische Erfahrungen mit mindestens einer Programmiersprache, beispielsweise Python oder Java
- Mindestens 6 Monate Arbeitszeit
- Maximal 20 Stunden pro Woche während des Semesters
- Bis zu 40 Stunden pro Woche in den Semesterferien möglich
Desired Qualifications
- Kenntnisse im Bereich Container-Plattformen, z. B. Docker, Podman oder Kubernetes
- Grundlegendes Verständnis von Applikationslaufzeiten
